Hey there , I have been working recently on a reduction linocut of some sparrows, house sparrows we call them here or little brown jobs.
Even though they are not the most colourful birds here in Britain, they have a lot of character. And when you look up close they have beautiful colours and pattens in their feathers , all be it in shades of brown and greys.
So after watching the sparrow army in my lovely new garden I wanted to do something on them and so here is my linoprint and some drawings, would love to hear what you think , cheers !
Here are some of the prints from both sides of the ocean that took part in an exchange this year , the prints were shown in cirencester in march , and the prints from the gloucestershire will be shown in manhattan in June, sadly though cant quite afford to pop over the atlantic to atttend the private view!
A great range of prints , you can see more at the tumblr site i have set up here!
We as a group had a good weekend at Babe, back at the start of April now! We had a lot of people looking , had a few sales, showed a lot of books, and was great to look around at all the other stalls ( which I didn’t take pictures of as was quite busy)
I was invited to attend a little gathering at the Print co operative I recently joined, to meet with some of the other new members. Tea ,chatting and a bit of print making, jolly good Sunday afternoon I think !
