We as a group had a good weekend at Babe, back at the start of April now! We had a lot of people looking , had a few sales, showed a lot of books, and was great to look around at all the other stalls ( which I didn’t take pictures of as was quite busy)
Apologies for the quality of the photos, but was against the clock a bit to finish these all for them to go off to be displayed / sold ( hopefully) at BABE book Fair, taking place in Bristol , this Saturday and Sunday.
If you love hand made books and quirky unique publications then this is the place to go for a bit of retail therapy!

I had a bag full of scrap paper, receipts and things that you don’t really want floating around, so i soaked them all in water with a tiny bit of bleach so it didn’t start going funky, and turned them into new paper! just a bit larger than A6.
As a project for the artists book club I am a member of, we had to make some sort of folded book. This was my attempt at an accordion illustrated book based on one of the traditional rhymes about magpies.
I made lino prints for all the black parts then painted in the rest with inks and watercolour, with the aims of an edition of 10 I have made 4 so far…
