GPCo-op International Print Exchange

“Gloucestershire Printmaking Cooperative was founded in 2005. It is the only printmaking facility of its kind in Gloucestershire and has extensive printmaking facilities at the studios at Giffin Mill, Stroud.Here are images from one of its many opportunities, the International Print Exchange, 2016,  with the Manhattan Graphics Center in New York.”

Here are some of the prints from both sides of the ocean that took part in an exchange this year , the prints were shown in cirencester in march , and the prints from the gloucestershire will be shown in manhattan in June, sadly though cant quite afford to pop over the atlantic to atttend the private view!

If anyone is in the Stroud area around the 8th of March and beyond, you should go see this show, free entry and loads of examples of the different printmaking techniques out there.

There is more to prints than the inkjet  😉

Used wiping, cotton buds, and plant material, and taking a second print so sometimes got a positive and negative, when using things like plant bits.

 

I was invited to attend a little gathering at the Print co operative I recently joined, to meet with some of the other new members. Tea ,chatting and a bit of print making, jolly good Sunday afternoon I think !
