Had a great opportunity recently to take part with some other lovely exhibitors from the Bristol area in a fair at Westonbirt Arboretum , in the lovely Oak Hall there, we ( me and Elaine Knight on our table) had our stall selling prints and framed work and when the sunshine came out so did the people to buy things!
I hope to soon put some of the Prints and Photos I was selling here, on my etsy shop!
i have said it out loud, so I shall have to do it now!

Thanks for looking people, have a lovely day!
All wrapped up and ready to go!
Off to Salisbury tomorrow to deliver this to the Salisbury Arts Centre as I am one of the Artists chosen to be shown in the annual open show, the theme being Printmaking this year, feeling chuffed!

Wow! The lovely ladies I have just finished my Ma with, and myself, have all decided to become a exhibiting group, and our first go at it will be in October!
I was asked to add some work to a pop up exhibition at the new Hub building in Gainsborough Square, Lockleaze, Bristol.
My work was amongst the work of the local art group who meet at The Cameron Centre run by Pam Sacree.
There was a lovely range of work in lots of mediums. There was lots of work done for only a short time up, but well worth it if it gets more people interested in going along and getting creative!
Laser cut Designs (above)
Karen was inspired by patterns throughout history and across all countries making enamelled samples inspired by all these patterns, she also made beautiful enamelled copper bowls
you can find her work on Etsy at Cider Mill Design !
I am taking part in an Art car boot sale , at Old Sodbury near Bristol, on the 19th of July from 10.30.
It will be the same set up as a normal car boot, but with all the stall holders being artists and sellers of art, and the emphasis being on grabbing a bargain!
So if you are in the area come along and have a rummage through our boots!
I will add a few posts about some of the other work that was on show in the MA printmaking show, these are by a lady called Claire Cohen
This was a visually tricksy piece , called ‘8minutes’, made by printing onto layers of perspex, giving it a very good sense of 3D-ness.
It represents the sun , and the title is the time it takes for the light from the sun to reach earth. You just wanted to try and touch it !
Claire made lovely embossed prints on the wall as well, her imagery coming from data, like these patterns and designs in the book she made. They were things like, plotting the distance from us to mercury every day , or where the sun is at its highest every day of the year and the orbits of Saturn’s moons. Which she then turned into these wonderful colourful designs.
