Here is a painting that I was commissioned to do for a Christmas present!

I worked from two different photos, one for the landscape, the other for the subject, Whoopi. I used oil on canvas the size is about 30 x 40 cm.

It was challenging to paint a black dog, but still have all the detail and shadows. Building up the layers of colours and brush marks, with different washes and layers of paint was how I went about this.
